Bus Trip to Ipswich Friday 16 June
31 of us enjoyed a very nice trip up to Ipswich. After a very smooth trip, we arrived at the Ipswich Information Centre in Queens Park for a lovely Devonshire morning tea. After morning tea one of their guides Sandra joined us on the bus for a drive around Ipswich looking at all the old churches, building and parks. This took around 90 minutes zigzagging all over Ipswich. Sandra gave us a bit of a history lesson on the age of the building and Ipswich itself and where the flood levels were in 2011. You don’t realise how big they were until you see where the level was in the CBD. After dropping our guide off we headed to Brothers Leagues Club Ipswich for a lovely 2 course lunch. After lunch we had a little time to chill out or play the pokies. We had a good run home arriving in Redcliffe around 3:15 PM.
Good day had by all.
