June Trip to The Barn & Scotty's Garage
On a cool but sunny winters day 28 of us headed up to The Barn & Scotty’s Garage at Upper Flagstone via Gatton. After a slow start to our trip with an accident on the Gateway Motorway and Sandgate Road also slow we stopped for morning tea at a nice park in Marburg. Then back on the Warrego Highway onto Gatton and then on some back roads to Upper Flagstone seeing lots of farming land and crops along the way.
Once we arrived we did a tour of the automotive based museum which takes us back to the 50’s and 60’s which included a replica milkshake cafe. Also had time to talk to Scotty about his collections of cars, motor bikes and fuel pumps.
Following this we enjoyed a nice 2 course lunch in The Barn which was built a long time ago.
After lunch we travelled back down the highway arriving back in Redcliffe just after 5 PM and everybody had a great day.
