Bus trip to Chung Tian Temple
Thirty eight of us set off on a beautiful winter’s day, sun was shining and the water was glistening. We headed over the Gateway and stopped at Underwood Park for morning tea.
We then drove a short distance to the Chung Tian Temple. Here we enjoy a guided tour of the temple and the pagoda which was constructed in 1992 using traditional Chinese Buddhist architecture. We also heard some of what they do there. The Temple was established with the goal of integrating Eastern culture into Australian traditions and follows Chinese Palace architectural style, employing gold and red in the traditional manner of Chinese Emperors.
Back on the coach for the drive down to Capalaba Sport Club for a very nice two course lunch and a cold drink. After lunch we drew the raffles before heading home arriving in Redcliffe just after 3PM. Great day had by all.
