Bus trip to Coucals Garden
33 of us headed off on a beautiful winters day to visited Coucals Garden at Mount Crosby. We travelled via the Airport and Legacy Way tunnels onto Moggill Rd out through the rolling hills around Kenmore to Mount Crosby. We had a lovely Devonshire morning tea on the veranda before the owners took us on a tour of their gardens spread out over a couple of acres. There was a wide variety of plants, scrubs and trees to look at and wonder around.
Bit of a steep driveway to walk up to get back on the coach before we headed off to a nursery at North Tivoli. On the way there we saw all the damage that the floods back in February cause at Colleges Crossing. Will be awhile before this place is open to the public. After lots of purchases we made our way to Brothers Leagues Club Ipswich where we enjoyed a very nice lunch and a cold drink. After lunch we made our way home and had a good run arriving in Redcliffe around 3:45PM. Enjoyable day had by all.
