Christmas in July at Toogoolawah Hotel

On what started as a nice winter’s day, 45 of us headed off on our Christmas in July tip to Toogoolawah Hotel. We stopped for morning tea in a park in the main street of Woodford.

We then left Woodford and travelled through Villeneuve to Kilcoy and then around the edge of Somerset Dam down to Esk for a quick tour and stop. Then back up the Brisbane Valley Highway to Toogoolawah where we enjoyed a very nice 2 course lunch at the Toogoolawah Hotel. Some people brought home doggy bags. We drew the Christmas hamper raffle with Michael Flannery winning the hamper. Jean Reagan, Kate Hopkins, Lorraine Thompson and Shirley Bolton won mystery prizes.

After lunch people had time for a quick walk around town before boarding the coach around 2:15 for our return trip arriving in Redcliffe just after 4PM. Great day had by all.
